La septième épreuve du Rockstar Elite Championnat de France a permis à Nicolas Aubin de renouer avec la victoire en Bretagne. Auteur d’une excellente première manche, Michael Leib a connu moins de réussite par la suite, en raison d’un problème technique.

Tout juste un mois après sa fracture du pied lors de la précédente épreuve du championnat Elite, Nicolas a donc retrouvé le chemin de la victoire au guidon de sa 450 Kawasaki du team Bud. Vainqueur samedi de la course qualificative MX1, puis triomphateur dimanche dans deux des trois manches et vainqueur scratch de la journée, le Normand confirme son potentiel dans cette catégorie MX1 qu’il a rejoint à mi-saison.

Les trois duels que Nico a livré ce dimanche à Xavier Boog, le nouveau champion de France, ont tourné à deux reprises à son avantage. Fort d’un holeshot en première manche Nico ne sera jamais inquiété, alors qu’en seconde manche il rejoindra Xavier et prendra l’ascendant à la régulière. Mettant la pression sur son rival en dernière manche Nico devra se contenter de la seconde place, mais le bilan final est à la fois flatteur et encourageant pour Nico et l’ensemble du team qui n’a cessé de chercher des solutions pour ramener son pilote dans une bonne spirale. Michael n’a pas eu de son côté la réussite escomptée, alors qu’il était l’un des pilotes les plus rapides en piste. Auteur d’une excellente course qualificative pourtant mal débutée en raison d’un problème de lunettes, Michael livrera une belle remontée en première manche pour accrocher une cinquième place scratch, second pilote MX2 derrière Steven Frossard. Une autre fulgurante remontée en seconde manche sera malheureusement stoppée par une casse mécanique. Tout le monde va maintenant observer une trêve estivale bien méritée, aucune compétition n’étant au programme des deux prochains week-ends avant la reprise du Mondial en Belgique fin juillet.

Dylan Ferrandis pour sa part a dominé le MX Masterkids qui est le plus grand rassemblement d'europe pour les jeunes pilotes ou des pilotes venus de tous pays d'europe mais aussi des USA, Mexique... étaient présents.
Dylan a gangé toutes les manches auxquelles il a participé dans la catégorie 125/2504T au guidon de sa 125 KX.

Nicolas Aubin : « Voilà une victoire qui fait du bien au mental, il y a longtemps que je n’étais pas monté sur la plus haute marche du podium et ca fait d’autant plus de bien que j’étais au fond du trou il n’y a pas longtemps. Hier je gagne la qualification, aujourd’hui je bas deux fois Xavier à la régulière et je lui mets la pression dans la troisième manche, c’est très positif tout cela. Dans la dernière manche la différence s’est faite au physique, de mon côté je ne peux toujours pas rouler la semaine a cause de mon pied. Je manque de moto, mais cela fait deux courses de suite ou je prends beaucoup de plaisir dès que j’enfourche ma 450. Mon pied ne me gêne pas trop quand j’enfile les bottes, c’est plus dans la vie de tous les jours que je suis gêné. Je sais que je vais souffrir pendant les deux trois jours qui viennent, mais on va gérer avant de partir rouler dans le sable pour préparer Lommel. L’objectif de cette fin de saison est de scorer du top cinq dans les derniers GP, je sais que je vais souffrir à Lommel mais je vais m’y préparer en attendant Loket, un circuit qui m’a bien réussi dans le passé. En attendant il y a deux week-ends sans course, et cela va me permettre de continuer à bien me préparer pour la fin de saison. »

Michael Leib: « J’ai eu un bon feeling avec cette piste, et samedi j’ai signé la pole position dans la séance qualificative. La course s’est moins bien passé puisque j’ai eu un problème sur la grille de départ avec mes lunettes ; j’ai fait le premier tour au ralenti, me suis arrêté à la pit lane pour en prendre de nouvelles et je suis reparti avec une minute de retard. Je reviens quatrième avec le meilleur tour en course, j’étais confiant pour la course. La semaine dernière on a fait pas mal de testing avec Jacky et Stephane Dassé, on a bien adapté les suspensions à mon style de pilotage. Dimanche matin j’étais encore le plus rapide, mais en course mon premier départ n’a pas été très bon et je suis revenu cinquième avec le second meilleur tour en course. Tout le monde dans le team Rockstar Bud Racing Kawasaki travaille dur, et tant que nous progresserons je serais heureux. »

Victory for Nicolas Aubin & Dylan Ferrandis

Rockstar - Bud racing - Kawasaki team was racing two events with the Rockstar Elite french championship for Nico Aubin & Michael Leib and also the Masterkids event who is the biggest kids event in europe for Dylan Ferrandis.

Round seven of the Rockstar French Elite championship has been great for Rockstar Bud Racing member Nicolas Aubin, who celebrates in Iffendic his first success since a while by dominating the MX1 class. Teammate Michael Leib did a great opening moto, but then suffered of technical problem in the second race.

Just one month after he broke his foot during the previous round of the French series, Nicolas has been back to victory aboard his 450 Kawasaki Bud Racing. Winner of the qualifying race on Saturday, then twice winner on Sunday and runner-up in the last heat he was the strongest rider in Brittany and confirmed his potential in the MX1 class.

During the three races Nicolas had only one rival on the track: Xavier Boog, the new French champion. Nico won the first two races, and then put pressure on his rival during the last one to grab the overall win. He got the holeshot and led the opening race, then joined Xavier in the second one and passed him to win his second heat in a row: the third and last one was tougher, but during twenty five minutes he put pressure on Boog who finally won it. The overall classification was for Nico, a great reward to his hard work and the dedication of the team who did his best to bring back his rider on a successful way. Michael Leib shows a great potential in Iffendic, but he was pretty unlucky; fastest rider on the track on Saturday, he lost his chances due to troubles with his goggles on the starting grid. Fourth of this race, he missed a good start on Sunday in heat one but came back second MX2 rider. He was doing another strong race in the second moto when he was stopped with a technical problem. The staff will now enjoy a two week-ends break as there are no races, and will prepare the next GP scheduled in Belgium end of July.

Dylan Ferrandis was racing the biggest kids european event this week-end with riders coming from many countries in Europe and also USA, Mexico... and Dylan did the perfect score by winning all motos of the 125/250F class with his 125KX.

Nicolas Aubin: “This win is great for my mental, that’s a long time I didn’t stand on the first step of a rostrum. I won the qualifying race, then beat twice Xavier on Sunday and won two motos, put pressure on him in the last one; I’m happy, I win this race with panache and had fun on the bike. Due to my foot injury I’m still not able to train on the bike between the races, and it’s one of the reasons why the last heat was pretty tough for me. When I’ve my boot it’s not so painful, but I know that it will not be easy during two or three days. Now I will rest for a couple of days and then move in the North to do some sand training before Lommel, we’ve three weeks to prepare the last GPs. My goal is to get some top five GP results, I had some success in the past at Loket and I expect a lot of this race as well as the final one in Italy.”

Michael Leib: “I had a good feeling with this track, and on Saturday I got the pole position in the qualifying session; then the race was more difficult for me, I had problems with my goggles on the grid and after one slow lap I stopped at the pit to get a new pair. I was one minute behind everyone but came back fourth with the fastest lap time, I felt confident for the race. Last week we did with Jacky and Sébastien Dassé a lot of testing, our suspensions suits now perfectly to my riding style. Today I was fastest again this morning, then my start was not so great in the first heat and I came back fifth with the second fastest time among the 450.  Everyone in the Rockstar Bud Racing team is working hard and as long as we are improving slowly and slowly I feel happy.”
