Double GP win for Livia

One week after the 2012 opening GP in the Netherlands, Livia Lancelot got her revenge during the French Grand Prix, second round of the Women World Championship. Double winner of the event, she offers to the team Rockstar Bud Racing Kawasaki a first success in the Motocross World Championship.

Despite a broken finger one week ago Livia was unbeatable in Castelnau de Lévis, and none of her rivals was able to race with her. The weekend was successfully rainy, windy and sunny, but that didn’t change anything for Livy who just missed the pole position on Saturday to grab her first GP win since the Czech Grand Prix in 2010. Second on the grid, she got the holeshot twice and after two laps she was leading each race by fifteen seconds! It was a perfect weekend for the French lady, who scores her seventh GP win.

Livia Lancelot:I had a great feeling all weekend long, and everything went perfect even if I had a small problem in the qualifying period. But that didn’t affect my confidence, and I was strongly motivated for this event. I was fastest at each start, and I pushed hard to secure a strong gap during the first laps; the second race was more difficult as the track was slippery with the rain, but for me it was OK. This winter I trained a lot on hard tracks with Jacky, the goal was to be faster on these tracks and I proved again this weekend that we reached my goal. Now I will be back in the French Women series, and I will start soon to train on Supercross tracks; my next goal is the X Games in California. Last year I got a podium, but I want to do better for my second attempt there.”

  1. Pas de championnat AMA MX pour Livia? si non, c’est vraiment domage, peut etre un coup de fil a Jeff Ward et l’affaire sera réglé non?
